Looking for a Melbourne Photographer Near You?

I’m based in the outer east of Melbourne, but I’m happy to work with families throughout the city and beyond. Whether you’re in the heart of Melbourne or the suburbs or just here on holiday looking for a photographer near you, I can travel to your home or choose from a range of beautiful locations I know well across the city. I have a great visual location guide to help you choose if you don’t know where to start! My focus is on making the experience relaxed and comfortable, exactly how you want your photos to feel.

You can check out my recent work on my Instagram.

  • A family in Melbourne have their photo taken up a bushland hill the dad holds one boy and the mum holds another boy scooped up, they are smiling
  • a young asian boy dressed in blue holds his parents hands during a photoshoot in the Australian bushland like in Bluey
  • a large family photo of a group wearing coordinated clothing on a farm standing together smiling

“We were so blessed to have Bec photograph our family on our recent holiday. She made us all feel relaxed, was so patient with us, and managed to capture lots of candid photos of everyone. We love the expressions and precious memories she has captured for us!”

Marion (Singapore)

“Bec was the BEST!!! She turned this Insta-stalking, camera-shy Mum and her equally shy family into a relaxed, happy crew and captured a whole reel of shots that were just undeniably US in the quickest hour ever! Thank you so much, Bec – I’m so sorry I waited so long for “the perfect time” to book a shoot – because all we really needed was you and your camera magic!”

November is Buarth Gurru (or Buath Garru), which i November is Buarth Gurru (or Buath Garru), which is the Grass Flowering Season in the Kulin Nation. Lots of growth and activity from plants and insects. I am sitting by the Acheron river at our annual friends camping holiday and swatting away an enormous number of flies. 🤪 but it is beautiful!

And I photographed this beautiful session recently And I photographed this beautiful session recently for Anie who is launching @alieoau soon - offering very cute, high quality baby clothes perfect for everyday and for gifting. Her family background is in textiles and she was talking me through how some of their early samples didn’t cut it with the print making the fabric feel wrong so they revisited a different process and now they are super soft!
Itinerary. Last Japan post here. Some touristy t Itinerary. Last Japan post here.

Some touristy things, some coffee things, some stationery shopping, food for someone not wildly into seafood. Lots of walking. Around about a 10k budget from Australia (went a bit over- spent far less on food than expected and maybe a bit more on shopping 😅) I would say we mixed in a few more expensive experiences with a fairly budget trip.

Note some of these things you should check dates on as not always open eg Toji Flea Market. And you need to book ahead for a few of the experience type things. No kids allowed in Saihoji Moss Garden (such an incredible place)

Expect 20k steps - a few days we tipped 30k but we chose to do some legs via walking because backstreets were so interesting (if you’re pooped get a cab)

We flew Qantas (again not cheapest but direct flight and I didn’t want to mess with delays as our trip was short)
Ubigi for eSIMs
Suica Card on Wallet
Pre booked Shinkansen and Romance train
Expedia for accomodation bookings
Tabecheck or direct for bookings for some food

Enjoy!
(We got our flights before oil prices sent them skyward…)

Only thing we missed that I really wanted to get to was the Pampas Grass Fields

Only surprise letdown was Fushimi Inari (I know I know 👀) but it was full of other tourists even at 7am

I would return to: Wife and Husband, Saihoji Moss Garden, Gyoza Enen, Kichijoji area in a heartbeat (but mostly everything).

Underrated online but we’re great: Edo architecture museum and bikes through Showa Kinen Park - so fun!

Fav shop: Loft 😅
