Wedding Invitations: Rebecca & Geoff

October 2007

A DIY folding experiment for my own wedding invitations. The two page invitation pulls out of a cover sleeve. The map was drawn to match.

Crane & Bull

Wedding Invitations: Rachael & Julian

July 2007

The invitation as a whole was fairly comprehensive: Formal invitation, Event details, Reception Details and an RSVP card.

I did not arrange the printing, as Rachael wanted to work with a printer she knew to get a good deal on verkotype - a kind of heat/emulsion process with plastic wax. The pages go through the printer twice so that the text comes out raised. This is a less expensive method than embossing.

I created the seal to reflect an aspect of both Rachael and Julian’s surnames. It featured on the invitation itself and she had it turned into a wax stamp for closing the envelopes.
